Softball Preview: Bagdad Sultans vs. Antelope Rams

Bagdad is 7-0 against Antelope since March of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Bagdad Sultans will head out on the road to challenge the Antelope Rams at 2:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Tuesday, Bagdad got the win against Salome by a conclusive 22-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for Bagdad.

Kiah Morris made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Morris was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Nuvia Jauregui was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a stolen base. Another player making a difference was Tatum Jeans, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Antelope entered their tilt with San Pasqual Valley with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 19-2 margin over the Warriors on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Katie Williams, who went 2-for-3 with a home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last 12 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alaina Jaime, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
