Basketball Game Preview: Providence Day Chargers vs. Wilson Tigers

The Providence Day Chargers will head out on the road to challenge the Wilson Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Providence Day comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Providence Day is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. The matchup between the Chargers and Concord Academy didn't end well, with the Chargers falling 74-59.

Meanwhile, Wilson had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with an 87-74 victory over Lancaster.

Providence Day better keep an eye on Josh Leonard. He was instrumental in Wilson's win, dropping a double-double with 25 points and 14 boards. Leonard is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Josh Gamble, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 20 points.

Providence Day's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wilson, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
