Cherryville won the last time they faced North Gaston and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ironmen blew past the Wildcats 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ironmen.

Cherryville was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-21, 25-19.

Leading Cherryville to victory were Kate Bookout and Mary Ellis Upchurch. Bookout had nine digs, while Upchurch had three aces.

Cherryville's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for North Gaston, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Cherryville and North Gaston will both be playing West Lincoln the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Ironmen will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
