Baseball Recap: Booker Comes Up Short

Booker managed to slip by DeSoto County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Booker lost 11-1 to DeSoto County on Monday. The Tornadoes just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Booker saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Azevedo, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Booker's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for DeSoto County, their record is now 5-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Booker will head out to challenge Bradenton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Booker's pitchers better be ready for this one: Bradenton Christian has averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.
