Basketball Recap: Pennsville Memorial Comes Up Short

Pennsville Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 76-38 loss at the hands of the Clearview Pioneers. The Eagles lost against the Pioneers in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 56-39 score last time.

Pennsville Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Clearview, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Pennsville Memorial and Clearview could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. Pennsville Memorial (ranked 425th) will meet Gloucester City (ranked 156th) at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Clearview will square off against Kingsway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 199 places (247 vs. 48).
