Basketball Recap: Conemaugh Township Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

If Northern Cambria wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Conemaugh Township, they should've done a better job of containing Colin Dinyar. The Conemaugh Township Indians took down the Northern Cambria Colts 57-40 on Friday thanks in part to Dinyar, who went 7 of 13 en route to 18 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Matera, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Conemaugh Township has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Northern Cambria, they moved to 12-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Conemaugh Township didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-58 victory against Portage on the 27th. Northern Cambria has also already played their next contest (against Cambria Heights), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
