Basketball Recap: Maranacook Takes a Loss

Maranacook was the 42-30 winner over Mount Abram when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Maranacook Black Bears took a 38-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Abram Roadrunners. The Black Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maranacook's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Mount Abram, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Maranacook will challenge Monmouth Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Abram, they will face off against Spruce Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Spruce Mountain will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Mount Abram surely won't give up without a fight.
