Basketball Recap: Rosman Takes a Loss

Rosman played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Smoky Mountain Mustangs, falling 43-22.

When it comes to explaining why Rosman lost, don't look at Makynna McDonald. Despite the final result, she posted three points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Smoky Mountain found their leader in sophomore Braelyn Mulligan, who had 13 points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Mulligan a new career-high in blocks (two). Julia Macaulay was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.

Rosman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Smoky Mountain, their record now sits at 5-13.

Rosman has already played their next contest, a 51-21 loss against Avery County on the 23rd. As for Smoky Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 56-25 victory against North Henderson on the 24th.
