Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Emerson's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Emerson won the last time they faced McKinney North and things went their way on Saturday too. The Emerson Mavericks walked away with a 48-41 win over the McKinney North Bulldogs. The 48-point effort marked the Mavericks' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Emerson is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for McKinney North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Emerson will venture away from home to square off against Independence at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. McKinney North will take on Denison in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
