Basketball Game Preview: Dixie Heights Colonels vs. Conner Cougars

Dixie Heights and Conner are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Dixie Heights Colonels will take on the Conner Cougars in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dixie Heights knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Conner likes a good challenge.

Dixie Heights is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing East Central: they outscored them in every quarter. Everything went Dixie Heights' way against East Central on Saturday as Dixie Heights made off with a 55-31 win. The 55-point effort marked the Colonels' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Conner suffered their biggest defeat since February 9th on Saturday. They came up short against Harvest Prep, falling 80-60.

Dixie Heights' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Conner, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Dixie Heights beat Conner 76-63 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dixie Heights since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
