Football Game Preview: Suncoast Chargers vs. Jensen Beach Falcons

The Suncoast Chargers will take on the Jensen Beach Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Suncoast is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Port St. Lucie get on the board and left with a 26-0 victory. The final result isn't all the surprising considering the Chargers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Jaguars are ranked 277th).

Meanwhile, Jensen Beach's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They blew past Okeechobee, posting a 39-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Brahmans: they've now won eight in a row.

Suncoast better keep an eye on Paige Bressman. She was instrumental in Jensen Beach's win, throwing for 173 yards and four TDs, while also punching in one rushing score. They are undefeated when Bressman posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-5 otherwise. Kayla Carnes got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Jensen Beach didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Natalie Tobiasz led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Emma Butcher has been hot recently, having posted at least one interception the last three times she's played. Carnes got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win made it two in a row for Suncoast and bumps their season record up to 10-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points in those games. As for Jensen Beach, their win bumped their record up to 10-5.

Suncoast didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Jensen Beach in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, but they still walked away with a 12-7 victory.
