Miami is 0-5 against Columbus since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Stingarees will face off against the Explorers at 3:30 p.m. Miami is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

Alex Semet looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Wryan Jenkins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Nicholas Yanes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Columbus owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Somerset Academy with a sharp 6-0 win. Considering the Explorers have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Columbus also got a great performance from Matthew Vigil as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Alec Cruz was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Rafael Diaz was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Miami's record now sits at 14-8. As for Columbus, their record is now 21-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Miami hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Columbus struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Miami suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Columbus when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Stingarees avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
