Basketball Game Preview: Gwynn Park Yellowjackets vs. Potomac Wolverines

The Gwynn Park Yellowjackets will head out to challenge the Potomac Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Gwynn Park knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Potomac likes a good challenge.

Gwynn Park is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since January 23, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Friendly 55-53. The win continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Potomac strolled past College Park Academy with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 54-36.

Gwynn Park's record is now 8-9. As for Potomac, their record is now 7-10.

Gwynn Park beat Potomac 53-41 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gwynn Park since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
