Soccer Game Preview: Wheeler County vs. Dooly County

The Wheeler County Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Dooly County Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Wheeler County fell just short of Georgia Military College by a score of 3-2. Wheeler County's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Dooly County hadn't done well against Bleckley County recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Dooly County who was credited with the win. The victory was all the more spectacular given their disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Bleckley County are ranked 156th).

Angela Borrallas was the driving force of Dooly County's attack as she scored both of Dooly County's goals, bringing her season total up to 13 goals.

The win made it two in a row for Dooly County and bumps their season record up to 8-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two games. As for Wheeler County, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
