Soccer Recap: Tarboro Takes a Loss

Tarboro lost against SouthWest Edgecombe back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings came up short against the Cougars, falling 9-1. Tarboro were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Jada Williams, who's now up to two this season.

Tarboro's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-8. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-9-1 record.

Looking ahead, Tarboro will challenge Bear Grass Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tarboro are facing Bear Grass Charter at the right time seeing as Bear Grass Charter are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for SouthWest Edgecombe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greene Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. SouthWest Edgecombe will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: Greene Central will have lost four straight heading into Tuesday's contest.
