Preview: Lewiston vs. Edward Little
Lewiston have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They will take on Edward Little at 7:00 PM. Lewiston don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
After a dominant win in their contest two weeks ago, Lewiston were humbled last Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 8-41 walloping at Scarborough's hands. Lewiston's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the match before.
Meanwhile, Edward Little have had to suffer through a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They dodged a bullet, finishing off South Portland 21-20. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Lewiston took their game against Edward Little the last time the two teams met by a conclusive 42-16 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lewiston since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
