Underclassman Marcus Williams Comes Up Big Against Centennial
It was an underclassman who stole the show on Friday as Marcus Williams came into the match with something to prove. Centennial had no answer to Williams as he rushed for 300 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 14.3 yards per carry. Williams really tore up the turf during one magnificent 95-yard run.
Desert Pines's win bumped their record up to 1-0. Williams and Desert Pines will head out on the road to take on Ayala at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

While Saturday's win was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Thaddeus Thatcher. He turned in nothing short of a gem on Saturday: he threw for 583 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt.
Arbor View pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Thatcher and Arbor View will be defending their home-field for the first time. Arbor View goes up against Legacy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Aiden Krause was dynamite on Friday, throwing for 261 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 35 yards.
Coronado's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. Krause and Coronado will take on Kailua at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Jayden Williams Goes Supernova in Arbor View Victory
Lincoln had no answer to Jayden Williams on Saturday as he picked up 218 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Arbor View sure did something right on Saturday as he's the second Arbor View player we've mentioned this week.
Williams' next contest is against Legacy on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance. The Aggies got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Longhorns, probably because Williams had a solid game then too: he picked up 108 receiving yards and a touchdown. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Bishop Gorman Gets Boost from Spicer Iv in 29-21 Victory
Melvin Spicer Iv's big game helped extend Bishop Gorman's winning streak to 14 on Saturday. Spicer Iv did his part (and then some), throwing for 188 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 79 yards on only six carries for the 'W'.
Bishop Gorman's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Spicer Iv and Bishop Gorman will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mater Dei at 7:00 p.m. on September 6th.
