River View came into Friday's game having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Philo Electrics on Friday, sneaking past 59-56. The Black Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

River View's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Philo, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Looking ahead, River View will take on Newcomerstown in a tournament on Sunday. As for Philo, they will be playing at home against Meadowbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
