Calera and Montevallo are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2021, but not for long. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calera is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Calera came up short against Jemison on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Calera was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 27-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Montevallo came into Monday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Sylacauga on Monday. The Bulldogs not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 15th (when they won 3-0).

While Montevallo won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-23.

Montevallo's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Calera, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
