Volleyball Recap: Central Triumphs

Central's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against Carver High School of Engineering & Science by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Lancers: when they faced off against Carver High School of Engineering & Science back in March, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-15, 25-21, 26-24.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Anthony Farfan, who had 15 digs.

Central's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Carver High School of Engineering & Science, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Central and Carver High School of Engineering & Science will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Lancers see the court they'll take on George Washington at 3:15 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Carver High School of Engineering & Science, their break will end when they face Academy at Palumbo at 3:15 p.m. on the 22nd.
