Somerset Academy has gone a perfect 3-0 against NSU University recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Somerset Academy is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 18th on Wednesday. They came up short against Ferguson, falling 11-1.

Somerset Academy got a good showing from Sebastian Rodriguez, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Rodriguez a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
At the plate, Somerset Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Meyer Cabrera, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Matthew Fari?as also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, NSU University never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Dr. Joaquin Garcia as NSU University made off with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Tevvy Rabinowitz looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Devin Mila was a standout: he scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Manuel, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
NSU University hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive games.
NSU University's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Somerset Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Somerset Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against NSU University in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, sneaking past 8-7. Will Somerset Academy repeat their success, or does NSU University has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
