Baseball Recap: Prout Comes Up Short

Prout had taken Chariho down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The Crusaders took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. That's two games in a row now that the Crusaders have lost by exactly three runs.

Prout's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Chariho, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Prout will square off against Middletown at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Islanders are coming into the game with six straight wins on the road, so the Crusaders will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Chariho, they will face off against East Greenwich at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
