Volleyball Recap: Oxnard Takes a Loss

Oxnard entered their contest against Dos Pueblos on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Oxnard fell 3-1 to Dos Pueblos. The Yellowjackets' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 20-25, 25-13.

Caiden Aguilar paced Oxnard's offense, picking up nine kills. Aguilar got some help from JP Mawas and his 20 assists. Xander Young controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Oxnard suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 5-8. As for Dos Pueblos, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Oxnard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Channel Islands on the 22nd. As for Dos Pueblos, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Santa Barbara at 6:00 p.m. on April 1.
