Volleyball Recap: Parkway Central Comes Up Short

Parkway Central lost against Nerinx Hall back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Colts took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Markers. While the Colts didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Markers 25-20 in the first set.

Parkway Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 27-25, 25-17, 28-26.

Maddie Schaefer paced Parkway Central's offense, picking up 21 kills. Schaefer got some help from Taylor Jesse and her 39 assists. Riley Fogarty controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Parkway Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Nerinx Hall, the victory snapped their losing streak at five matches and leaves them with a 5-14 record.

Parkway Central has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Marquette on the 26th. As for Nerinx Hall, they will host Lindbergh at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Markers are facing the Flyers at the right time seeing as the Flyers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
