Softball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Rowe, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines had just enough and edged out the Rowe Warriors 3-2. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 16-3 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

A Luna spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was J Medrano, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season. Rowe's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial will venture away from home to challenge Sharyland at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. As for Rowe, they will head out to take on Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
