Football Game Preview: North Jackson Chiefs vs. Madison Academy Mustangs + How To Watch

The North Jackson Chiefs will take on the Madison Academy Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with North Jackson sitting on three straight victories and Madison Academy on four.

North Jackson's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. They blew past New Hope 49-0. That looming 49-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Chiefs yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Jackson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nick Price Jr., who rushed for 213 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. Price Jr. is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 130 every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Keyton Long, who rushed for 120 yards and one score on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Jackson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 407 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in 15 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Madison Academy earned a 35-27 win over Arab on Friday. The Mustangs pushed the score to 35-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights cut but never quite recovered from.

Madison Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for North Jackson, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.

Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. North Jackson has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 300.4 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Madison Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 63.8 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

North Jackson didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Madison Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with an 18-12 victory.
