Greenbrier had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Everything went their way against the Effingham County Rebels as they made off with a 9-0 win. The Wolfpack's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Greenbrier's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those four matchups. As for Effingham County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Greenbrier will be playing at home against McIntosh at 3:00 p.m. on March 15th. As for Effingham County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Camden County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Effingham County has given up an average of 4 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
