Volleyball Recap: North Has No Trouble Against North Canyon

North barely beat North Canyon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs blew past the Rattlers 3-0 on Thursday. The Mustangs have beaten the Rattlers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Rattlers has come to flipping the script.

While North won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-16.

Moon Anderson paced North's offense, picking up nine kills. Anderson got some help from Yamileth Prieto Perez and her nine assists. Gola Anderson-Garcia and La'Liyah Louis kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with six aces apiece.

North's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for North Canyon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Coming up, North will challenge Fairfax at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Canyon, they will welcome Verrado at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
