Baseball Recap: Clinton Prairie Takes a Loss

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Clinton Prairie was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They lost 12-2 to the Hamilton Heights Huskies. The Gophers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Clinton Prairie saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Harshbarger, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Clinton Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Hamilton Heights, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-18.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Clinton Prairie will face off against Bethesda Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gophers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Hamilton Heights, they will take on Yorktown at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
