Kern Valley (Lake Isabella, Calif.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 26-14 win over
Frazier Mountain (Lebec, Calif.).
The Broncs put up three points in the opening frame. Kern Valley scored on a field goal.
After taking the lead on a field goal in the first quarter, KV led 10-8 at the half.
The Lake Isabella school expanded its lead to five points entering the fourth quarter. The Broncs scored two times in the third, including once on a kick return.
Kevin Enciso made a difference for the Falcons. The senior wingback ran for one touchdown. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.

KV had struggled this season, allowing 30.2 points per game. But the Broncs tightened up and held Frazier Mountain well below its season average of 25.2 points per game.
A 31-6 Kern Valley victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Frazier Mountain defeated Ribet Academy 20-14 last week. The loss snapped FM's 2-game winning streak. With the win KV extended its winning streak to three games.
Kern Valley (4-2) will play a High Desert game against Rosamond next week, while Frazier Mountain (4-2) will take on Desert also in a High Desert game.
