Spring Grove had lost eight straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-14 to make it nine. They lost 13-4 to the Susquehannock Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 on April 9th.

Laiken Ilgenfritz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. Jasmine Nassar was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for Susquehannock, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games.

On Susquehannock's side, Ella Wetzel made a splash while hitting and pitching. Coming up, Spring Grove will head out on the road to square off against Waynesboro at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Susquehannock, they will welcome Kennard-Dale at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
