Baseball Game Preview: Bradshaw Mountain Bears vs. Flagstaff Eagles

For the second straight game, Bradshaw Mountain will face off against Flagstaff. The Bears will face off against the Eagles at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Bradshaw Mountain is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Bradshaw Mountain took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Flagstaff, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bears sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted against the Eagles since March 8, 2022.

Bradshaw Mountain got a great performance from Jeremy Reynolds as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Reynolds has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Garison Jones was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Drew Strader was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Flagstaff and nudges their season record down to 13-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3.
