Volleyball Game Preview: Oglethorpe County Patriots vs. Armuchee Indians

The Oglethorpe County Patriots will take on the Armuchee Indians at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Oglethorpe County will be looking to extend their current 16-game winning streak.

Oglethorpe County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Commerce with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Oglethorpe County walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-9.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Armuchee, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy on Wednesday.

Armuchee was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 22-25, 25-20, 25-6.

Oglethorpe County better focus on containing Addison Blanton and Charley Ray as the pair were huge in Armuchee's win. Blanton had 14 digs and three aces, while Ray had ten digs and two aces. Those 14 digs gave Blanton a new career-high.

Oglethorpe County's win bumped their record up to 28-8. As for Armuchee, their victory bumped their record up to 25-15.
