Recap: East Dayton Christian vs. Spring Valley Academy
East Dayton Christian's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 56-35 walloping at the hands of Spring Valley Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for East Dayton Christian in their matchups with Spring Valley Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why East Dayton Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bradyn King. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Spring Valley Academy can attribute much of their success to Camden Montes, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Statts, who scored 14 points.
East Dayton Christian bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. As for Spring Valley Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
East Dayton Christian will head out on the road to face off against Bradford at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bradford presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than East Dayton Christian in Ohio (Bradford is ranked 167th, while East Dayton Christian is ranked 377th). As for Spring Valley Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cincinnati Landmark at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
