Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Randolph County walked away with it. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wellborn Panthers a 15-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Tigers have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Gracie Robinson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Kinsley Weathers was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
