Basketball Game Preview: Tabernacle Christian Eagles vs. Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers

Tabernacle Christian is 0-10 against Crosspointe Christian Academy since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tabernacle Christian Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Tabernacle Christian is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a blow against Indiana Christian Academy, falling 73-37. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Whirlwinds are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, Crosspointe Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to Calvary Christian on the road by a 68-53 margin.

Tabernacle Christian will need to focus on slowing down William Yeiter, one of several Crosspointe Christian Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He went 7-for-15 on his way to 18 points and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Yeiter a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (67%). Another player making a difference was Phil Fitzsimmons, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Crosspointe Christian Academy now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Tabernacle Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.

Tabernacle Christian ended up a good deal behind Crosspointe Christian Academy in their previous matchup two weeks ago, losing 73-54. Can Tabernacle Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
