Basketball Recap: Oakland's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Oakland had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They blew past Reedsport, posting a 67-38 victory. Given the Oakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Reedsport are ranked 193rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oakland's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. As for Reedsport, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Oakland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 45-40 defeat against East Linn Christian Academy on the 1st. Reedsport has also already played their next contest, a 48-40 victory against Myrtle Point on the 4th.
