Soccer Game Preview: Ridgeway vs. Brighton

The Ridgeway Roadrunners will take on the Brighton Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgeway will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Two weeks ago, Ridgeway needed a bit of extra time to put away Raleigh-Egypt. They never let the Pharaohs get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. That's two games straight that Ridgeway have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, Brighton was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of Millington Central by a score of 1-0.

Brighton has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Ridgeway, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Ridgeway suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Brighton in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Can the Roadrunners avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
