Recap: Trenton Catholic Academy vs. Holy Cross Lancers
Trenton Catholic Academy won the last time they faced the Holy Cross Lancers, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Trenton Catholic Academy walked away with a 47-39 win over Holy Cross. The win made it back-to-back wins for Trenton Catholic Academy.
Holy Cross lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Emmanuel Doku, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was Doku's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Samir Wellington, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Trenton Catholic Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Holy Cross, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trenton Catholic Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Burlington City at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Burlington City is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Holy Cross won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pennsauken at 5:15 p.m. on December 21st.
