Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sierra Canyon walked away with it. They came out on top against the Mater Dei Monarchs by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Trailblazers sure are getting used to it with their 17th in a row.

Madeleine Zaragoza went supernova, getting 16 digs and three aces. Those 16 digs gave her a new career-high.

Mater Dei's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lizzy Robinson, who had 18 digs and two aces, and Layli Ostovar, who had 16 kills and nine digs. Robinson has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Sierra Canyon's win bumped their record up to 39-3. As for Mater Dei, they moved to 31-5 with that defeat, which also ended their 16-match winning streak.

Sierra Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Mira Costa on the 12th. As for Mater Dei, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Redondo Union on the 12th.
