Huron is 8-2 against Spearfish since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Huron Tigers will look to defend their home court against the Spearfish Spartans at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Huron is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Roosevelt just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rough Riders by a score of 60-58. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (55), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, everything went Spearfish's way against Lead-Deadwood on Tuesday as Spearfish made off with a 70-47 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 23 points or more this season.

Spearfish's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points per game. As for Huron, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Huron beat Spearfish 59-50 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Will Huron repeat their success, or does Spearfish have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
