Basketball Recap: Redmond Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

If Skyline wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Redmond, they should've done a better job of containing Iha Kasam. The Redmond Mustangs walked away with a 55-47 victory over the Skyline Spartans on Friday thanks in part to Kasam, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Redmond's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie West, who posted six points and 11 boards. What's more, she also racked up two steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.

The win made it two in a row for Redmond and bumps their season record up to 12-1. As for Skyline, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Redmond will welcome Renton at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Redmond is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.2 points per game this season. As for Skyline, they will challenge Stanwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
