Moon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 17-6 walloping at the hands of the Greenway Demons. Moon Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Greenway apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Thursday.

Kion Harrison was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Kadin Abell was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

On Greenway's side, Nathan Pierce was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Tatum, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Moon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Greenway, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moon Valley will challenge Yuma at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenway, they will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Flagstaff at 3:45 p.m.
