Preview: South Hills Scorpions vs. Arlington Heights Yellowjackets
South Hills is 0-10 against Arlington Heights since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The South Hills Scorpions are on the road again and play against the Arlington Heights Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. South Hills has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Saturday, South Hills sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 34-31 win over Monahans. The victory was just what South Hills needed coming off of a 44-19 loss in their prior game.
South Hills can attribute much of their success to Jocelyn Rockingham, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals, and Lili Hernandez, who scored 8 points along with 12 rebounds. Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Arlington Heights came up short against Connally last Friday and fell 43-30. Arlington Heights has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped South Hills to 2-18 and Monahans to 2-9.
South Hills was taken down by Arlington Heights 57-17 in their previous matchup back in January. Can South Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
