Baseball Game Preview: West Boca Raton Bulls vs. Bishop Moore Hornets

The West Boca Raton Bulls will square off against the Bishop Moore Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

West Boca Raton is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Royal Palm Beach with a sharp 13-1 win.

Gavin Russell looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Tayegan Briskey was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Axel Diaz-Rivera, who went a perfect1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI.

West Boca Raton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Royal Palm Beach only posted an OBP of .200.

Meanwhile, Bishop Moore got the win against Master's Academy on Tuesday by a conclusive 11-1.

Layton Hall looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Nate Davis was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. LB Bass was another key player, going a perfect1-for-1 with one home run.

West Boca Raton skirted past Bishop Moore 4-3 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will West Boca Raton repeat their success, or does Bishop Moore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
