Basketball Recap: Six Straight Road Wins for Riverside

Riverside won the last time they faced KIPP Legacy and things went their way on Friday too. The Riverside Argonauts snuck past the KIPP Legacy Lions with a 55-49 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Argonauts.

Despite the loss, KIPP Legacy still got an impressive performance from Jahmere Evans, who went 5 for 12 en route to 19 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shalon Robinson, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Riverside pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. As for KIPP Legacy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will host Eminence at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for KIPP Legacy, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Lions duke it out with the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
