Baseball Recap: Gloucester Catholic Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

Gloucester Catholic's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They blew past the Clearview Pioneers 10-0. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Clearview's batters probably weren't too happy with Jude Morgan, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (he gave up a single walk). Morgan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Gloucester Catholic let Braeden Lipoff and Jack Mustaro run wild. Lipoff went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base, while Mustaro went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and two RBI. That's the most hits Mustaro has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brody Gates, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Gloucester Catholic's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Clearview, they moved to 13-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
