Basketball Recap: Gar-Field's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Gar-Field won the last time they faced Freedom, and Jonathan Jason Bell did his part to make sure it happened again. The Gar-Field Red Wolves simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Freedom Eagles 85-33 thanks in part to Bell, who went 9 of 14 en route to 21 points and three steals. His evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Edwin Monge-Ventura was another key player, putting up 11 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in boards (two).

The win made it two in a row for Gar-Field and bumps their season record up to 14-8. As for Freedom, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Gar-Field is taking a road trip to square off against Potomac Senior at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Potomac Senior will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Gar-Field surely won't give up without a fight. Freedom does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
