Volleyball Recap: Trico Pioneers vs. Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes
Trico had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Pioneers as they're now sitting on four straight.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Trico took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14.
Whitney Lovel paced Trico's offense, picking up seven kills. Lovel got some help from
Olivia Thies and her eight assists.

Allie Robinson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Trico pushed their record up to 32-3 with the victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Zeigler-Royalton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which is still a better percentage than their 8-25 record this season.
