Basketball Recap: Moriarty Comes Up Short

Moriarty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Artesia Bulldogs and fell 69-32. While losing is never fun, the Pintos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 26th).

Moriarty's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Artesia, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Moriarty will take on Pine Hill in a tournament on Thursday. As for Artesia, they are taking a road trip to take on Carlsbad at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
